Welcome to Peru! Welcome to the website of the SECOND INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS TO ENGINEERING, FINANCE, BIOSCIENCE, AND ENVIRONMENT. This international and multidisciplinary meeting will take place in the wonderful Inca city of CUSCO, PERU at Universidad Andina del Cusco from October 7th to October 10th, 2024.  The meeting will bring together people working in the intersection of applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, computer science, epidemiology, public and global health, ecology, biology, entomology, medicine, statistics, probability, physics, the environment, engineering, economics, finance, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

The principal aim of this international meeting is to promote networking with international scientists and motivate Peruvian students and professors to work in multidisciplinary groups, particularly those involving applied mathematics and computer science. The meeting also seeks to encourage undergraduate students to continue with graduate-level research in the medical field, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, either in Peru or abroad.

Arriving by plane:

By air from Lima city airport (Jorge Chavez) is around 1 hour to reach Cusco city airport ( Velasco Astete). The Velasco Astete airport is about 15-20 min away from Cusco downtown by taxi or uber. The one way by taxi or uber from the Velasco Astete airport to Cusco downtown is around 10 to 20 nuevos soles (3-7 USD).

LOCATION

The Second International Meeting of Applied Mathematics to Engineering, Finance, Bioscience and Environment will take place at the campus of the Universidad Andina del Cusco (UAC), just inside of Cusco city, Peru. For more information, see the following map:

Conferences will take place at the auditoriums of the School of Law and Political Sciences, the School of Economical Sciences, and the School of Business and Accounting. For additional information please go to the Academic Departament of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry , located at the pavillon in  AG-906.
